Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you. I detest all my sins because of your just punishments, but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the occasions of sin. Amen.

Act of Faith

O my God, who are infallible Truth and can neither deceive nor be deceived, I firmly believe all that you have revealed and propose to my belief though your holy Church, because you have revealed it. I believe that you are one in nature and three in Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe that you are the Creator of all things and that you reward the just for all eternity in heaven and punish the wicked for all eternity in hell. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God made man, that he suffered and died for my sins and rose from the dead in glory, and that it is only in him through the Holy Spirit that eternal life is given to us . I believe in all that your holy Church believes. I thank you for having called me to the true faith, and I propose that with the help of your grace I will live and die in this holy faith. Amen.

Act of Hope

O my God, trusting in your promises and because you are faithful, powerful and merciful, I hope, through the merits of Jesus Christ, for the pardon of my sins, final perseverance and the blessed glory of heaven. Amen.

Act of Love

O my God, because you are infinite goodness and worthy of infinite love, I love you with my whole heart above all things, and for love of you I love my neighbor as myself. Amen.

Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ever faithful to your promises and ever close to your Church: the earth rejoices in hope of the Savior's coming and looks forward with longing to his return at the end of time. Prepare our hearts and remove the sadness that hinders us from feeling the joy and hope, which his presence will bestow, for he is Lord forever and ever. Amen.

The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary
R.  And she conceived by the Holy Ghost
Hail, Mary, etc (see prayer below)
V.  Behold the handmaid of the Lord
R.  Be it done unto me according to the word.
     Hail, Mary, etc.
V.  And the word was made flesh
R.  And dwell among us,
     Hail Mary, etc.
V.  Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R.  That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ
     Let us Pray...
Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, They grace into our hearts; that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His Resurrection through the same Christ our Lord Amen.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love,.  Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created and you will renew the face of the earth.

Lord, by the light of the Holy Spirit you have taught the hearts of your faithful.  In the same Spirit help us to relish what is right and always rejoice in your consolation.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and what I have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

Guardian Angel Prayer
Angel sent by God to guide me, be my light and walk beside me; be my guardian and protect me; on the paths of life direct me.

Hail Holy Queen
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy! Hail, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning, and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us; and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement , O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen

Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you all of my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the mass throughout the world.  I offer them for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart; the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops, and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.  Amen

Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered died, and was buried. On the third day He rose in fulfillment of the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. (For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours, now and for ever.) Amen.

Prayer for the Dead
Eternal rest grant to him (her), O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him (her); May his (her) soul and the soul of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Prayer for Generosity
O Lord, teach me to be generous.  Teach me to serve you as you deserve; to give and not to count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest; to labor and not to ask for reward save that of knowing that I am doing your holy will. Amen.

Prayer to St. Francis (Also known as the Prayer for Peace)
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel, Defend us in the day of battle; Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.  May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, Cast into hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl through the world, seeking the ruin of souls.

(This powerful prayer of exorcism was composed by Pope Leo XIII; in a vision, he had been shown the fearful battle to be waged between Satan and St. Michael, over the Church of the future.  Now, as never before, the Church needs the intercession of St. Michael?  Please say this prayer every day.)
Glorious Saint Raymond, since your birth you were a special object of the Lord's mercy, and accepted by the Blessed Virgin Mary as her very own son. We ask you to obtain for us the virtues by which you gave yourself for Christian captives: love for the Virgin Mary, mortification of the senses, a spirit of prayer, and an intimate union with Christ in the Eucharist.

We ask you intercede before the Lord and his Mother that we may be able to practice love for God and our neighbors, especially the most needy, that they may be faithful disciples of Jesus and the children of Mary, our Mother of Mercy.

You have been declared patron and protector of mothers, protect and help them in childbirth; grant to all who are entrusted with the care of new life a sacred respect for human life.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Raphael the Archangel
O God, send the Archangel Raphael to our assistance. May he who stands forever praising you at your throne present our humble petitions to be blessed by you. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Take, Lord, and Receive
Take, Lord, and receive al my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will.  Whatever I have and possess you have given all to me.  To you, Lord, I now return it.  All is yours.  Dispose of it according to your will.  Give me only your love and your grace; I will be rich enough; that is enough for me.  (~St. Ignatitus Loyola)
Vocation Prayer
Lord, Let me know clearly the work which you are calling me to do in life.  And grant me every grace I need to answer your call with courage and love and lasting dedication to your will. Amen.

Great Amen
Amen.  (After the Doxology, during the Liturgy of the Eucharist, sometimes sung)
(The Great Amen is the the congregation's response to the priest saying: " thru Him, with Him and in Him...")
HOLY, HOLY, HOLY (From Mass)
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory;  Hosanna in the highest.  Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.  Hosanna in the highest.

LAMB OF GOD (From Mass)
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world:  have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world:  have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world:  grant us peace.

Lord, have mercy (response:  Lord, have mercy)
Christ, have mercy (response:  Christ, have mercy)
Lord, have mercy (response:  Lord, have mercy)

Lord God, you alone are the source of every good gift, of the vast array of the universe, and the mystery of each human life. We praise you and we thank you for your great power and your tender, faithful love.

Everything we are and everything we have is your gift, and after having created us, you have given us the keeping of your Son, Jesus Christ.

Fill our minds with his truth and our hearts with his love, that in his spirit, we may be bonded together into a community of faith, a parish family, and a caring people.

In the name and spirit of Jesus, we commit ourselves to be good stewards of the gifts entrusted to us, to share our time, our talents, and our material gifts as an outward sign of the treasure we hold in Jesus. Amen.               ~ Sister Marie Schwan

God of al Goodness, you have entrusted us with the gift of life.  Help us to appreciate that gift from the first moments of conception to the last breaths of old age.  Send your strength to all those who defend the unborn, the weak, and the dying against attempts to cut short their lives.  May your Holy Spirit touch the hearts of those who are tempted to choose the way of death rather than life.  Grant that you people may always be a sign of your love in the world. Amen
